A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple and tax-efficient way to support FamilyMeans. If you have established a donor-advised fund through a sponsoring organization, you can recommend a grant to FamilyMeans to support our mission and help individuals and families thrive.

Donor-advised funds allow you to make charitable contributions, receive potential tax benefits, and recommend grants to the nonprofit organizations you wish to support.

Recommend a Grant

You can recommend a grant to FamilyMeans through your donor-advised fund administrator. You’ll likely need the information below to make this recommendation.

Gift Designation:Donors may designate their grant to a specific program or fund. If no designation is provided, grants will support the FamilyMeans general operating fund. General operating gifts support current programs and services, helping meet the needs of the community today.

Note: When recommending a grant, please ask your sponsoring organization to include your name and contact information. This allows FamilyMeans to properly acknowledge your generosity and ensure your gift is directed according to your wishes.

Some donor-advised fund sponsors may distribute grants anonymously. If you prefer to remain anonymous, we are happy to honor that request.

You may also name FamilyMeans as a successor beneficiary of all or a portion of your donor-advised fund. This allows your charitable values to continue supporting our community for years to come.
