FamilyMeans story

Why Donate?

Everyone needs help at some point in their lives. FamilyMeans is there during difficult times to offer services from mental health and counseling, to financial services, youth enrichment, caregiver support, and more.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, FamilyMeans has been meeting the changing needs of the families in our community since 1963.

E. Qualified Charitable Distributions

    • Are you age 70 ½ or older and have a Required Minimum Distribution (“RMD”) from an IRA that needs to be taken in 2016? Recent legislation has been put in place that could improve your ability to get a tax deduction on your gift to FamilyMeans. Ask your tax advisor if a Qualified Charitable Distribution (“QDC”) would make sense for you.
