Cimarron Youth Development

Cimarron Youth Development Initiative

The Cimarron Youth Development Initiative offers free, year-round weekday programming to the 200+ youth who live in this Washington County mobile home community. While densely populated, Cimarron has no churches, schools or recreation programs. After gaining support from the ownership corporation, conducting youth surveys and parent focus groups, FamilyMeans began programming in summer 2008. Youth take part in either the Cimarron Kidspace Program, the Cimarron Teen Program, or the summer-only Cimarron Bike Program. In 2015, FamilyMeans opened the doors to our Cimarron Youth Center, a dedicated space for serving this community’s youth.
