Helping All Families Through Grief and Loss

At FamilyMeans, we're big in supporting families. And when we say "family", we mean family of any kind. We understand there are many types of non-traditional, modern families living together, loving together, and building our community. We work to support all families to be as healthy and strong as they can be.

Family can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. From a "unit" of people who love each other, to a group of people who support each other through hard times of grief, stress, or other, family is however you define it. Whether your family is one other person, a group of people, or a location of people, FamilyMeans looks to support that family unit to help make everyone's life better.

One way we offer support is to provide grief and loss support to families, and individuals. People process their grief and their loss in as many different ways as there are families in the community, and the FamilyMeans' program at the Center for Grief, Loss & Transition in St. Paul, Minnesota, helps support families through their different needs. From providing therapeutic services to the community, or providing our expertise when needed, we are working to help all people - and all families - through their grief and loss.

In this video, listen to Clinical Supervisor Jennifer Baker-Jones discuss the role FamilyMeans and the Center for Grief, Loss & Transition plays in all families' lives when needed.
