Rebecca Erickson has been a volunteer with FamilyMeans for over 9 years, and served over 2,700 hours. For many years, Rebecca has volunteered with our Day Out group respite program. When we made the switch to a virtual format, her skills with technology and PowerPoint, as well as her piano playing, singing, and ability to relate to people of varying abilities helped to make the transition a success. Rebecca's talents have been invaluable in creating a fun atmosphere that makes people want to keep participating.
In addition to group respite, she has been an in-home respite volunteer and has a special gift for making people feel comfortable and valued. Her generosity in sharing her time and also her financial resources are much appreciated. Rebecca says, "It is all smiles for me on Fridays during Day Out. I can’t think of a better way to start my weekend! Connecting with our friends at Day Out, as well as in-home respite is very fun and oh, so fulfilling. With any luck, the clients I work with feel the same way. FamilyMeans has the golden touch – learning of something families need and figuring out a way to help. I am very proud to be part of the FamilyMeans family."
Thank you Rebecca!
