Faces of FamilyMeans - Hannah Salen

“(While evaluating the Virtual Reality Dementia Experience) I have learned that community members and caregivers are very willing to learn about dementia and have so many questions. People are also looking for resources and often don’t know where to start when it comes to caregiving or the first steps to a diagnosis. It also has given me hope to see that there are really fantastic people in the community, like Jenny West, helping to connect these caregivers to the resources they need!” - Hannah Salen

Hannah is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health. She has been working with FamilyMeans Caregiving & Aging on assessing the effectiveness of using virtual reality equipment in educating people about dementia.
