“There are so many benefits to volunteering. Not only are you helping those in need, but you do so much for yourself. And it seems the more you do for others, the more you want to do. There is such a need in our community. Volunteering gives you a sense of purpose. It makes you feel more connected to others, and less absorbed in the stresses of daily life. I have created many friendships through volunteering. And I have heard volunteering improves mental and physical health. And volunteering is fun. I would encourage anyone with extra time on their hands to consider volunteering.”
