Cimarron Youth Take to the Streets of Lake Elmo
Jan 02, 2014
As we hover around zero degrees and prepare for below zero temperatures in the start of this new year, it’s hard to believe anyone complained about the atypical heat and humidity on Sept. 7 as FamilyMeans’ Cimarron Youth Program participated in the annual Lake Elmo Days parade.
Despite a very warm day, the streets were lined with spectators, and the children and teens enjoyed handing out candy and waving to those on the sidelines along the parade route. The new 14-passenger bus was put to good use keeping the kids cool and transporting them to and from the community center and the parade.
It was a fun day, and a great way to put the spotlight on Cimarron in the community.
