The city of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, hosts "Lake Elmo Days" every year, an annual event for Lake Elmo and surrounding residents to come together and enjoy their community. In 2013, the event was held on September 6 and September 7 at Lions Park in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Across these two days, residents were able to enjoy a variety of events. These ranged from a battle of the bands and a car show on Friday night, to a free pancake breakfast, Lake Elmo Days Parade, a pig roast, and much more throughout the day on Saturday.
FamilyMeans had a presence at the event this year as well, as several of our youth at the Cimarron Youth Program were in attendance on Saturday, September 7 at Lake Elmo Days as well. Many of our youth attended and participated by walking in the parade (as you can see above) as well as creating posters, handing out candy, and saying smiling greetings to the crowd. It was a great time had by all!
