"Community" can mean many different things to many different people. For some it is a location in where they may work, live, or play. For others, it may be more of a sense of general support that is around them wherever they go. At FamilyMeans, our take on community is a little mix of both.
In our video today, listen to volunteer Margaret Carasik describe why the community found at FamilyMeans over the last 50 years has been so important for her, and how it represents more than just a collection of indiviudals helping out, but rather a support network that feels like a family. In particular, through caregiver support needs and other volunteer help, having this family-like community that continues to step up and assist people when needed can make a large difference in someone's life.
