FamilyMeans provides a full range of mental health and counseling services to meet the needs of all clients seeking help.

In its Stillwater and Hudson locations, FamilyMeans provides group, individual, family and couples counseling, therapy and psychiatric care to help people of all ages address their issues and concerns.

In St. Paul at FamilyMeans’ Center for Grief, Loss & Transition, therapists provide specialized programs and services specifically designed to help children and adults work through complicated grief, loss and trauma.

In addition to office visits, FamilyMeans staff members have a presence in many of the Stillwater and New Richmond schools. Providing access to counselors in the schools helps students avoid dealing with accessibility and transportation issues. The on-site therapy also provides comfort to the students as they have familiarity within their school settings.

FamilyMeans also provides therapeutic support groups. Current groups include:

  • The Children’s Divorce Group, which meets on Thursday evenings. This group helps children increase their ability to adjust to separation, divorce or custody change.
  • The Women’s Codependency Group, which is held on Tuesday evenings. This support group helps women with identifying their feelings, wants and needs.
  • Smart Divorce Decisions, held on Thursday evenings once a month, is a one-time, one-hour session where couples or individuals considering separation or divorce can learn about the different options and what is best for them. There is no cost for this session.

Contact FamilyMeans at (651) 439-4840 to learn more about any of the counseling opportunities or support groups offered at FamilyMeans.

Lakeview Foundation provides grant support to FamilyMeans’ mental health and school-based services.
