STILLWATER, Minn., August 27, 2012 – FamilyMeans Consumer Credit Counseling Service has offices in multiple locations in the Twin Cities and has recently added another location in St. Paul. And soon, an office will open in Hudson.

Effectively immediately, people can make appointments at the newest CCCS office located on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. Sara Cramer, a CCCS counselor who can assist clients in both English and Spanish, will see clients at the St. Paul location on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 5, Eli Snyder, another CCCS counselor, will begin seeing clients at the Hudson location in the Vine Street Professional Building. This addition will provide convenience to Wisconsin residents so they don’t have to travel to the Stillwater office once the bridge closes for four months.

“We are excited to provide services in St. Paul and Hudson,” said Jim Kroening, director of FamilyMeans CCCS. In addition to these new locations, other CCCS offices are located in Stillwater, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Rochester and in Eau Claire, Wis.

To make an appointment with a CCCS counselor, clients should call the main scheduling number at (651) 789-4014 or toll free at (800) 780-2890. The scheduler will provide each client with the detailed information they need to know, including the address where the appointment will take place.

In 2011, about 2,700 individuals sought budget and credit counseling through FamilyMeans, and another 1,450 individuals received bankruptcy counseling. In addition, the FamilyMeans Debt Management Program assisted more than 2,400 households in repaying more than $14 million to local and national creditors. The agency reached 11,300 people through its traditional education programs, bankruptcy education and other events that included resource fairs and school presentations. FamilyMeans CCCS receives funding from the United Way St. Croix Valley.
