2019 Youth Development Program

Summer Volunteer Opportunities 

 

FamilyMeans is looking for help in our youth programs this summer! Share your time and talents with local youth, and help them to grow and prosper! 

 

Piano teacher: Spark a passion for piano playing in local youth! Volunteer needed on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 2:30pm - 3:30pm. 

Woodworking Assistant: Assist the program leader in teaching youth how to complete simple woodworking projects. Volunteer needed one day a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 12:30pm-2:00pm.

Soccer Coach: Teach youth the basics of soccer this summer! Looking for a committment of Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am-12:00pm

Book Club Assistant / Reader: Help youth gain an interest in books and reading! Volunteer needed Thursdays from 2:30pm -3:15pm   

Lunch-Time Helper : Assist in preparing and serving lunch to youth in the program! Volunteer needed Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 11:45pm - 2:45pm 

General Youth Program Support: help with various tasks and activities! Afternoons any day of the week! 

 

A commitment of once a week for three months or longer is preferred. If you or your group are looking for a smaller commitment, consider help with a special event for the youth program such as help with parties, picnics, or holiday festivities!
